This sheet comes home the beginning of each cycle. Your child needs to brainstorm ideas and fill out the form; some of these ideas may require supplies you need to provide. Please make sure your child’s idea is feasible and can be done independently. The innovation day sheets will be due on the date indicated at the top of the sheet and need to have your signature on them as well. The project will be made at school on Innovation Day. Students will have about 2-3 hours to complete their project.
Examples for Innovation Day: light bulb repurposed and used as an oil lamp, sled made out of a pallet and pvc pipe, string art (wood, nails, and string), halloween costume, game, something that can be used in the classroom to assist with learning, a repurposed item, etc. Remember, they should choose something that involves learning something new and have not done before. No kits please.
